Visual editing is a powerful concept that can turn the ugly or mundane into something beautiful by leaving things out or rearranging their position. I often find the opposite at least as interesting – a superficially beautiful scenery with an ugly underbelly. One way to convey what’s going on is to add facts. As an example, here is my annotated scenic view of Islais Creek in SF’s Dogpatch.
